Starfish Filter Media System well suited to treat water from wells or from town water. Produce hygienic water from either deep well or town water. Each system is designed to remove bacteria and other contaminants which may be causing unwanted odor, color and water hardness (lime scale residue). Manual and automatic backwash options are available for both the 2m3/day up to 25m3/day systems.

Quarterly > 4 x Maintenance visits / year = Rp. 1.000.000,- / Year

How It Work

Step 1: Source Water 

All sources of water from wells, rain water, town water collected and puted into the raw water tank. Then the raw water flowed by transfer pump to the next step process.

 

Step 2:

Filtration Process with Sand Filter Softener Filter and Activated Carbon Filter

Sand Filter

The sand filter is specially graded to trap particles in the 20 – 100 micron range. As a sand filter collects dirt, its efficiency increases, trapping more dirt. When your pressure gauge shows a reading 8 – 10 lbs. over the clean, start-up reading, it is time to backwash the captured dirt out of the filter.

Softener

The water softener removes calcium and manganese which contribute to hard water and therefore softens the water. The size of  the water softener is dependent upon the total water use and the total water hardness.

Activated Carbon Filter

Activated carbon media works in two ways through the processes of adsorption and absorption. The combination of these two processes enables activated carbon media to extract a wide range of substances both organic and non-organic. The carbon filter removes tannins, chlorine, sulfur and most chemicals and pesticides.

Step 3:

Photoelectric Ultraviolet (UV)

Ultraviolet light kills micro organisms like bacteria, viruses, algae and protozoa. UV disinfection is used in air and water purification, sewage treatment, protection of food and beverages and many other applications. UV Photoelectric is the final step in the water treatment process. After this process the water will flow into the clear water tank before being pumped to entire property.
